Denver Beer Co. Announces ‘DBC Explorer’ Challenge and Opportunity to Win Free Beer for a Year

Entrants to use GPS coordinates found on cans of Graham Cracker Porter and Incredible Pedal IPA to explore Colorado and be entered to win ‘Free Beer for a Year’ from Denver Beer Co.

Denver, Colo. (August 8, 2014) – In conjunction with the release of their first cans of Incredible Pedal IPA and Graham Cracker Porter, Denver Beer Co. announced the kickoff of the DBC Explorer challenge.  Each can of Incredible Pedal and Graham Cracker Porter is marked with a GPS coordinate for a location in Colorado for a total of 24 different coordinates and unique locations.  Participants in the DBC Explorer challenge must visit all twenty-four locations and take a photo in each spot in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize – free Denver Beer Co. beer for one year.

The DBC Explorer challenge is open to the public ages 21 years and older.  Participants are required to fill out an online profile via the DBC Explorer webpage and upload their “selfies” to the contest site as they visit each secret location.  Participants will have until November 7, 2014 to visit each of the 24 locations and document their travels.  Upon the close of the contest, Denver Beer Co. will host a VIP party for all “Explorers” who have successfully completed the quest.  A grand prize winner will be randomly selected to receive “Free Beer for a Year” during the VIP celebration.  Additional prizes will be awarded to other participants in the DBC Explorer Race.

“One of the primary reasons we decided to can our beers is so that folks can take their Denver Beer Co. cans with them on all their Colorado adventures – hiking, biking, camping, fishing, etc.,” stated co-owner Patrick Crawford.  “The DBC Explorer challenge is meant to encourage folks to get out and enjoy our great state.”

Co-owner Charlie Berger added “We hope the DBC Explorer challenge will be a fun adventure for our customers.  The locations vary greatly between urban and mountain settings, so our DBC Explorers will get to visit a wide variety of locations which we think include many of Colorado’s most scenic and unique places.  This challenge is really a celebration of Colorado as a state.”

DBC Explorers may enter the contest at any time beginning with the sale of Denver Beer Co. cans to the public on August 8, 2014. For more information and to register to become a DBC Explorer, visit www.denverbeerco.com/dbcexplorer.
